The people of Banahatti have come together under the Banahatti Praja Soudha Horata Samiti to demand construction of the Taluk Praja Soudha in Banahatti. Citizens, traders, youth, social organisations and public representatives have extended strong support to this peaceful, democratic and non-political public campaign.
Banahatti is one of the largest and most important urban centres in the taluk.
Banahatti has 16 municipal wards, compared with 9 wards in Rabakavi.
Thousands of residents visit government offices every year for essential public services.
A Praja Soudha here would improve access for Banahatti and surrounding villages.
Many participants have pledged to support every stage of the movement until the demand is fulfilled.
“Praja Soudha should be constructed in Banahatti for the benefit of the people and the future development of the town.”

Following the mega procession, the Saradi hunger Satyagraha will be inaugurated at Chennamma Circle in the presence of organisation leaders, citizens and movement participants. It will continue in planned shifts until concrete action is secured for construction of the Praja Soudha in Banahatti.
